Welcome to the Zoo community support forum. This is used as a place for the community to help each other learn how to use Zoo’s CAD tools and APIs.

What to know before posting a new question:

  1. Search the forum for similar topics - the question might have been discussed before.

  2. If the question relates to private account issues you don’t want top disclose publicly (e.g. billing and paid subscription issues), please contact us through your account settings.

  3. If you know your issue is an actual bug in the Modeling App, please search if it has already been opened here: https://github.com/KittyCAD/modeling-app/issues or Bug and open a new issue if not.

  4. Text-to-CAD is a new ML model. There will be prompts that work and prompts that don’t. Sometimes even a small tweak to your prompt will make it successful on the next run. We look at all the failures to make the model better and see our weaknesses. Over time the model will get better. See our discord or users posts here for some prompting tips from the community or our team.

  5. If you know your issue is an actual bug with Text-to-CAD, please search if it has already been opened here: Bug and open a new issue if not.

  6. If you are unsure if your problem is an actual bug, do not open a new issue! Instead, see if anyone here has had the same issue or ask a new question to Support.

  7. If you know your issue is a bug but it lies outside Zoo Modeling App or Text-to-CAD or any of our other open source repos, please file an issue here: Bug if it does not already exist.

  8. If you have a feature request see the guidelines posted in Feature before opening a new topic.

  9. If you found something wrong or that could be improved pertaining to our documentation, please search if it has already been opened here: Documentation and open a new issue if not.

  10. If you just want to chat to fellow community members about interesting topics, check out Community.

  11. Please be kind and helpful in conversations!

  12. Community members with the best answers to forum questions will receive free credits for the API.
